Principal Officers

Centurion Counsel, Inc. is made up of the firm's investment principals below who are supported by a small group of highly trained professionals. The Centurion Team works in a cooperative effort to guarantee our clients the most efficient, personable experience possible. Mr. Heilbron is the original founder of Centurion Counsel, Inc. where he is responsible for the investment management of all client and institutional portfolios.  A graduate from California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Mr. Heilbron presently holds licenses as a General Securities Principal, Registered Securities Principal, Registered Municipal Securities Principal, and Registered Options Principal. Mr. Heilbron has been managing investment portfolios for over 20 years and has developed a national reputation for reducing risk in client portfolios through asset allocation. As testament to his investment success, Mr. Heilbron was awarded with a Lipper-award for his investment performance in 2000, the same year the major stock markets suffered significant declines in return.

A fourth generation San Diegan, Mr. Heilbron began his career working his way to Senior Auditor for the Department of Corporations in the State of California, specializing in securities and syndication firms. He was a registered principal with a major New York Stock Exchange firm and a full time due diligence officer for PIM Financial Services, Inc. before founding Centurion Counsel in 1984. In addition to his investment experience, Mr. Heilbron was instrumental in the formation of a NYSE listed REIT and subsequently responsible for its property acquisitions. Mr. Heilbron has served as an NASD Arbitrator and has been an expert witness in cases involving securities and investments and is frequently asked to speak publicly on investments. His views on investments have been quoted in the Los Angeles Times, San Diego Union Tribune, Barrons, New York Times, Washington Post, and USA Today, as well as the subject of features on CNBC.

MICHELLE E. LESLIE

Ms. Leslie started her financial services career in 1999 with Sagemark Consulting in La Jolla, California.  As a Junior Financial Planner, Michelle practiced comprehensive wealth management via a team approach with Senior Management in the integrated areas of:  wealth transfer and estate planning, business succession, retirement, investment and insurance planning strategies.  By 2002, Michelle went into private practice as an independent financial advisor, starting Leslie & Associates.  As an independent, she focused on full-service financial planning for her clients working with a professional network of attorneys, CPAs and third party investment managers. 

In 2004, Michelle chose Centurion Counsel, Inc. as the premier institutional money management firm to transition her investment planning clients to for customized, fee-based planning solutions.  She now focuses primarily on fee-based investment management for her clients. 

Prior to her career in the financial services industry, Ms. Leslie was a U.S. Naval Officer for ten years, serving overseas, onboard U.S. naval vessels and joint military commands.  She earned her Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Golden Gate University while serving a tour at the Naval Postgraduate School , Monterey, California.  She was recruited and attended St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas for a basketball scholarship while completing her undergraduate studies in Public Justice and Pre-Law.
